The South West (Central Directorate) is one of the largest geographical regions within the EIS network and provides support to athletes located throughout six counties including Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Dorset, Somerset, Devon and Cornwall.

The main hubsite for the region is based at the University of Bath, with more local delivery provided from Weymouth in the south of region and in Plymouth to the west.

The operational management is led by Diana Benham, the south west team consists of practitioners across the disciplines working with athletes from more than 15 sports.

The south west region also leads on EIS support to Sailing, Modern Pentathlon, Netball, Bobskeleton, Snowsports and Bobsleigh.
